1PTO Accruals begin immediately and become available to use on the first pay period end date following 90 days.

2Half Track RNs and teammates in positions with 20-23.99 standard hours per week are eligible. Refer to HR Policy 3.05 Paid Time Off Benefit for details.

3 Weekenders are eligible. Refer to HR Policy 3.05 Paid Time Off Benefit for details.

4 401(k) Plan participants whose status changes to PRN:

  • PRN teammates are eligible for Basic and Performance-Based contributions provided by Atrium Health.
  • PRN teammates are not eligible to contribute to the 401(k) plan.

5 Benefit is effective Day 1 of eligibility for Residents.  

Please, note that ID cards for benefits with Day 1 coverage will be issued, if applicable, after the benefits enrollment is completed with the appropriate carrier. See more information on the Teammate Benefits Enrollment page. 

These benefits, as described, may not apply to monthly-paid teammates. For details, please contact the Benefits Service Center at 704-631-1500, Option 1.

Eligibility for Voluntary Benefits varies by Plan.

Temporary teammates and Contract Workers are not eligible for benefits. 


Dependents

  • Children until their 26th birthday
  • Unmarried children of any age who are incapable of self-support due to a disability which began prior to age 26 and who are primarily dependent upon you. Complete the Dependent with Disability Form and submit to MedCost. For questions, contact MedCost at 800-204-2085
  • Individuals who can be counted as dependents on your annual tax return
  • Please note that you will be required to verify eligibility of your dependents. Look for communication mailed to your home, following the completion of your enrollment, providing instructions for submitting documentation to verify the eligibility of your dependent(s). Please respond to the actions outlined in the communication; it is time-sensitive and necessary to complete the enrollment for your dependent(s).

Making Changes to Your Benefits

You can make changes to your benefit elections upon new eligibility, when you have a qualifying life event or during Annual Enrollment. Visit the Submit Enrollment Changes page for more information. Changes to benefit elections must be made within 31 days of eligibility or the date of your qualifying life event.
