In-Network Vision Benefits

The CEC Vision Plan includes comprehensive coverage for you and your family. Some key parts of the plan include: 

• An annual eye exam  
• The benefit allowance is $170 for eyewear – frames, lenses and contact lenses – without an office charge (non-prescription sunglasses are included) 
• 20% discount on glasses (frames and/or lenses) and 10% discount on contact lenses for any amount over the $170 allowance  
• A contact lens fitting or evaluation annually  
• 1,700 in-network doctors and retail opticals 
• Up to 70% savings on your vision care  
• No claims to file 
• Non-prescription eyewear, including sunglasses, is included in your CEC Vision plan. Other non-prescription eyewear such as blue-light blocking glasses, safety glasses and readers are also included. 

Limited Out-Of-Network Vision Benefits

Children's Vision Benefits

Children up to the age of 13 who are enrolled in the CEC Vision plan will be eligible for: 

• An additional eye exam each plan year 
• A new pair of glasses each plan year if their prescription changes by 0.5 diopter or greater (contacts not included)  

The second eye exam is covered in full with no copay. The second pair of glasses is covered up to the $170 eyewear allowance.  

Children’s eyesight can change quickly. This enhanced benefit ensures that children get the eye care they need. 

Diabetes Program

Members with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes enrolled in a comprehensive CEC Vision plan who undergo a medical exam are eligible for co-pay relief. The member simply submits a form to CEC Vision and is reimbursed for the amount of the co-pay, up to $25. 

Request a Vision Benefits Card

To access and request an ID card for your Vision Benefits, follow these steps: 

• Visit CEC Vision's website here. 
• If you have not yet visited the site, you’ll need to register. Click the Not Registered link to set up your account. 
• Your Member ID is identical to your 6-digit Atrium Health Navicent teammate ID number  
• Once logged in, choose the option Request ID Card
