When Will Benefits Providers Receive My Enrollment Information so I can Access Services?
After you have submitted your benefits enrollment at totalrewards.org, your elections will be sent to the appropriate benefits carriers. Carriers will issue ID cards as applicable. Please note, benefits files are transmitted once weekly to benefits carriers. The effective date of your coverage will be your date of hire/date you entered a benefits-eligible status and not the date you enroll.
What Happens if I Need to Access the Benefit Before the Carrier Receives my Enrollment Information?
If you need to seek healthcare, have a prescription filled or use a benefit before your enrollment has processed with the carrier, appropriate reimbursement will be issued per the benefit plan. You may contact the Benefits Service Center at 800-775-4784, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. ET with questions.
Refer to the Eligibility Chart for the effective date of other Atrium Health benefits.
What Should I Expect for Premium Deductions?
Your benefits enrollment event remains open in totalrewards.org for 31 days. Depending on when you enroll will determine when your premium deductions begin. For example, if you complete your enrollment after the first pay period ends, your paycheck will not include a premium deduction. However, after your enrollment is submitted, the system will reflect day 1 coverage, and premiums will be retroactively collected from your next paycheck.
How Do I Access Benefits ID Cards?
Once your benefits elections are completed with the carriers, ID cards will be issued by the carriers, as applicable, and mailed to your home address.
