Teammates

Welcome to Atrium Health!

Our goal is to give you the tools and the knowledge you need to safely begin your practice as part of the Nursing Team at Atrium Health. Please review the following carefully:

  • Portions of the Nurse Orientation and the Electronic Health Record training programs have been placed into a virtual format which you may complete from home. If you do not have access to a computer and internet, you may complete e-learning at the Center for Learning & Development. We ask that you complete this content in its entirety during your first week of employment.
  • Nurse Orientation also includes validations for nurses in designated practice settings that will occur in-person at the Center for Learning & Development during your first week.

Schedule

Your schedule the first week will vary by your practice setting.

*If you are unsure of which role/practice setting schedule applies to you, please reach out to your recruiter for clarification.

You will receive confirmation of your additional Orientation details by the Thursday prior to your start date.

Questions you may have:

How will I be paid? Report your worked hours to your manager via email by the end of the day Friday to ensure that your time is entered appropriately. The content of your first week should total no more than 40 hours and reflect breaks 30 minutes or greater. Include all start and stop times.
Who can help me if I cannot log-in? If you are unable to log in, please contact the Service Center at 704-446-6161.
When may I report to my unit? You may not participate in patient care until all required validations and e-learning are complete. Take advantage of the time available this week to complete these requirements so that you can be best prepared to begin orientation on your unit.
I have questions about Benefits.

Contact the HR Service Center.

(704) 631-1500 | toll-free: 1-833-631-1500

I do not have access to a computer or internet.

The best option is to use a computer at your work station. If that is not possible, you can return to the Center for Learning & Development to use the Open Computer Lab. Email EncompassClinicalTraining@atriumhealth.org to reserve your space. Be sure to bring your badge and ear buds.

I have questions about Encompass Epic Training.  Please verify with your manager/hiring leader regarding the EHR training required for your job role and setting.

What is my schedule after this week? Contact your manager for details of your schedule beyond the first week.

For other questions, contact Kara Hedvig Evans for assistance: Kara.Hedvig@atriumhealth.org
