Mass Vaccination Teammate, Provider & Volunteer Information

Thank you for your commitment and dedication to our patients and communities as we continue the journey to fight COVID-19. We are so excited for you to assist with our next mass vaccination event. There are few important items for you to review/complete prior to your arrival. Details about each venue and what to expect during your shift(s) is below.

Check back frequently, as information is being updated and added to this page. Your assignment(s) will be available on this page no later than 24 hours before you are scheduled. Please check your assignments here in advance to streamline the teammate check in process on site.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport

  • Address: 5601 Wilkinson Blvd
  • Dates: March 17-18
  • Hours of operation: March 17-18; 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Cost Center: 11011005031724
  • Teammate/Volunteer Parking: 5601 Wilkinson Blvd (Follow Signs)
  • Assignments/roles: Screening, Vaccination Station, and Observation; all assignments can be found HERE
  • Shifts: Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your shift to check-in; plan for a 5 minute walk from the parking lot to teammate/volunteer check-in.
    1. March 17-18: 1100-1900 (Pharmacy team to report at 0630)
      ***If your name is in RED on the staffing assignment sheet, you are on the Pharmacy Team and need to report as indicated above***
  • Venue information: This event is a Drive-Thru Event (with 2 walk-up tables provided for Airport Employees being bused from the terminal.)
  • Personal belongings: Please only bring essential items with you. Keep valuables at home.
  • PPE Requirements: Eye protection, masks, and gloves (provided on site) are required. Remember to foam in between glove changes. Supply carts are located near the vaccinations tables.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs or casual attire is appropriate. Please ensure you also wear your Atrium Health badge.
  • Meals/Breaks:
    • Coffee, Hot Chocolate, water and a light continental breakfast will be provided each morning
    • Lunch will be provided; vegetarian and gluten free options will be available
    • Your team lead will let you know when to break for lunch

 

Johnson C. Smith University

  • Shifts: Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your shift to check-in; plan for a 5 minute walk from the parking lot to teammate/volunteer check-in.
    • March 13-14: 0700-1700 (Pharmacy team to report at 0630)
      ***If your name is in RED on the staffing assignment sheet, you are on the Pharmacy Team and need to report as indicated above***
  • Venue information: This event is a WALK-IN event. We will have 14 vaccination tables and will vaccinate a total of 6,000 patients (Johnson & Johnson) at this event.
  • Personal belongings: Please only bring essential items with you. Keep valuables at home.
  • PPE Requirements: Eye protection, masks, and gloves (provided on site) are required. Remember to foam in between glove changes. Supply carts are located near the vaccinations tables.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs or casual attire is appropriate. Please ensure you also wear your Atrium Health badge.
  • Meals/Breaks:
    • Coffee, Hot Chocolate, water and a light continental breakfast will be provided each morning

Shelby High School – Cleveland County

  • Dates: March 27-28
  • Hours of operation: March 27-28: 8:30am - 4pm

  • Shifts: Please plan to arrive at 7:30am to check-in.
    •  March 27-28: 0730-1700 (Pharmacy team to report at 0700)
    • ***If your name is in RED on the staffing assignment sheet, you are on the Pharmacy Team and need to report as indicated above***
  • Venue information: This event is a DRIVE THRU event. We will have 8 vaccination tents (15 vaccine stations) and will vaccinate around 6,500 patients (Pfizer) at this event.
  • Personal belongings: Please only bring essential items with you. Keep valuables at home.
  • PPE Requirements: Eye protection, masks, and gloves (provided on site) are required. Remember to foam in between glove changes. Supply carts are located near the vaccinations tables.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs or casual attire is appropriate; please take the weather into account as you prepare for your shift. YOU WILL BE OUTSIDE THE ENTIRE SHIFT (unless you are on the Pharmacy Team). Please BRING YOUR OWN winter hats, gloves, outerwear, rain gear, etc. as appropriate. Consider layers, outerwear, gloves, hats, etc. for cold weather. If it’s raining, please make sure you wear waterproof outer layers and/or rain gear. Please ensure you also wear your Atrium Health badge.
  • Meals/Breaks:
    • Coffee, Hot Chocolate, water and a light continental breakfast will be provided each morning

    • Your team lead will let you know when to break for lunch

 

Bank of America Stadium

  • MANDATORY EVENT EDUCATION: Please review the Panthers Event Education before your shift, as there is NEW information since last BoA event.
  • Stadium Address: 800 South Mint Street Charlotte, NC
  • Dates: 3/30, 3/31, 4/1
  • Shifts: Please plan to be inside the stadium and in your assigned location by 0645. (Teammates in Pharmacy roles please arrive by 0600).
  • Assignments/roles: Please check the welcome email for your assignment and area. Please note Pharmacy teammates must arrive on site at their station no later than 0600.
  • Teammate/Volunteer Parking: Parking is in the Legacy Union Deck ONLY (720 S Church St, Charlotte 28202) – do not park in the Mint Street deck across from the stadium as there will be no parking vouchers.
    Where to report: The North Gate entrance to the stadium; you will check in at the tables/area on the right side of the North Gate entrance, where you will receive info on where to report for your assignment
  • Meals/Breaks:
    • Please bring any needed snacks and drinks with you. Lunch will be provided
    • Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available

  • Personal devices: We ask that you turn off your Wi-Fi to decrease connectivity limitations while working at Bank of America Stadium.
  • PPE Requirements: Eye protection, masks, and gloves (provided on site) are required. Remember to foam in between glove changes. Supply carts are located near the vaccinations tables.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs or casual attire is appropriate; please take the weather into account as you prepare for your shift. Please BRING YOUR OWN winter hats, gloves, outerwear, rain gear, etc. as appropriate. Consider layers, outerwear, gloves, hats, etc. for cold weather. Ski gear is fine for particularly cold days. If it’s raining, please make sure you wear water proof outer layers and/or rain gear. Please ensure you also wear your Atrium Health or company ID badge.

 

Charlotte Motor Speedway

  • Address: 5555 Concord Pkwy S, Concord, NC 28027; when you arrive, follow signs/directions to staff parking inside Gate 1 (there will be Speedway staff along the way to direct you)
  • Dates: Thurs. 2/11, Fri. 2/12, Sat. 2/13, Sun. 2/14
  • Shifts: Thurs - (0800a-1230p) (Team Pharmacy Report Time: 0700) , Fri-Sun - (0645a-1345p) (Team Pharmacy Report Time: 0600) and (1315p-1945p)
  • Assignments/roles: Parking: Follow Atrium Signage upon arrival; please print parking pass and display on your driver side dashboard
  • Where to Report: You will check in at the tables/area right outside the Paddock Club, where you will receive information on where to report for you assignment and your vest (blue – clinical; green – non-clinical; yellow – safety/directions/transport)
  • Meals/Breaks:
    • Coffee, Hot Chocolate, juices, water and a light continental breakfast are provided each morning at Teammate/Volunteer Check In
    • Lunch is provided for morning shift teammates/volunteers.
    • Dinner is provided for afternoon shift teammates/volunteers.
    • Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available.
    • You should plan to eat at the end of your shift.
    • Lunch and Dinner will be served in the building directly behind the garage bays/vaccination area.

  • Personal belongings: Please only bring essential items with you. Keep valuables at home or in your car. There is no secure area to store personal belongings.
  • PPE Requirements: Eye protection, masks, and gloves (provided on site) are required. Remember to foam in between glove changes. Supply carts are located near the vaccinations tables.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs or casual attire is appropriate; please take the weather into account as you prepare for your shift. YOU WILL BE OUTSIDE THE ENTIRE SHIFT. Kannapolis Cannon Ballers – Atrium Health Stadium – Mini Mass Vaccination Event 

  • Stadium Address: 216 West Ave, Kannapolis, NC 28081 
  • Dates: Sat. 2/20; Sun. 2/21 
  • Shifts: Sat - (0700-1300) and (1200-1800); Sun – (0700-1500) 
  • Assignments/roles: Clinical, Non-Clinical and Registration  
  • Teammate/Volunteer Parking: Please follow Atrium Health signage to park and for check in at the stadium. 
  • Cost Center: Saturday - 11011005031722 and Sunday – Will send email with cost center info for those working this shift 
  • Personal belongings: Please only bring essential items with you. Keep valuables at home.

Pay/Kronos

If you are a salaried bi-weekly payroll teammate, enter time as “Overtime Straight” in KRONOS and follow instruction in the below links:

  • Salary User - Salaried Overtime Straight Pay
  • Here is a blank timesheet, please print and bring with you. (for those that do not have Kronos Timestamp access); there will also be some on site if you forget or are unable to print in advance.
  • Your team lead (wearing red vests) or teammate coordinator (at the table where you check in for your shift) will be able to sign your time sheet at the end of your shift.

 

Call Outs

If you are unable to report (need to call out due to illness), please email vaccinestaffing@atriumhealth.org and copy your direct supervisor on the email so they are aware of the call out.

***Call outs count as an occurrence for teammates because we are counting on you to be there!***

To sign up for a shift, you must use ShiftSelect.

  • If you already have a ShiftSelect login ID and password, you can sign up to volunteer at your preferred location on ShiftSelect.

How do I request a shift in ShiftSelect?

How do I know if I was selected for (awarded) the shift(s) I requested?

  • Download mobile app – check calendar
  • You will receive an email from ShiftSelect indicating your shift has been awarded

I signed up but haven’t been contacted. When will I receive my login credentials?
Once your profile has been made active in ShiftSelect, you will receive an email with instructions on how to log in and request shifts from ShiftSelect@atriumhealth.org. You should receive this email within 48 hours of submitting your eForm but depending on the volume of teammates who need to added to ShiftSelect this could take a little longer.

I’m unable to sign up via the link provided. – no password, password doesn’t work, etc.
This information will be provided in the email from ShiftSelect@atriumhealth.org.

If you are unable to login, you can click on the Forgot Password link to reset your password (screenshot below).

On the next screen, you will enter your Username, select the What is your employee ID? security question, enter your Employee ID number, and click Reset Password.

What do I do if my job title is incorrect – I am a provider, but I show as non-clinical?
If your job title is incorrect in ShiftSelect, please email ShiftSelect@atriumhealth.org to have this information corrected.

How do I sign up for partial shifts?
There are partial shifts posted in ShiftSelect. In the future, you will be able to ask for a partial shift before submitting your request (screenshot below).

I can’t find the correct mass vaccination venue to select.
Shifts for the mass vaccination venue will be listed as VSU- (Venue Location)-COVID Vaccine Mass.

Will I get information about where to go, training, etc. once I’m signed up?
You will receive a welcome email regarding where to go, training, etc. once your shifts have been approved in ShiftSelect.
