Getting Started

  1. To get started, read the information in the Resources and Guides section below
  2. Use the Atrium Health Benefits: New Teammates Enrollment Timeline as a reference to guide you through this process.
  3. Determine teammate and dependent eligibility.
  4. Enroll in your benefits online. 
    • Sign in to  YourHRLink using your Atrium Health User ID and Password.
    • Select the Employee tab to get started.
    • Your deadline to enroll is 30 days after your hire date, and your benefits will be effective the first day of the month after 30 days of employment.

Teammate Eligibility

Teammates in positions classified at 24 hours or more standard hours per week are eligible for medical and dental. Positions classified at 16 or more standard hours per week are eligible for vision, flexible spending accounts and Additional Benefits.* If you are unsure, review the Benefits Eligibility Guide.

*These benefits, as described, may not apply to monthly paid teammates. For details, please contact Executive Total Rewards and Physician Benefits at 704-632-0120.

Dependent(s) Eligibility

Eligible Dependents include your:

  • Spouse
  • Children up to age 26
  • Unmarried children of any age who are incapable of self-support due to a mental or physical disability, which began prior to age 26, who are primarily dependent on you (contact MedCost at 800-795-1023 for required disability certification forms)

Documentation is required to verify eligibility of all dependents being enrolled in the medical, dental and vision plans. It is considered fraudulent to cover non-eligible individuals on your plans. A request to verify new dependents will be mailed to homes from Dependent Verification Services.

To qualify as an eligible dependent for a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), dependents must be claimed as a dependent on your tax return.

Be sure to have the Social Security Numbers and birth days for any eligible dependent(s) you plan to enroll.

Follow these instructions to complete your Atrium Health Benefits Enrollment:

  1. Sign in to YourHRLink, using your Atrium Health User ID and Password
    Note: If you experience problems with your Password, contact Support Services at 704-446-6161
  2. Once in YourHRLink, select the Employee tab
  3. Click My Hire Event to begin your benefit selections.
  4. Verify your Personal Information
  5. Complete Direct Deposit Information
  6. Complete Tax W-4 Form

Click on My Enrollment to begin your Benefits Enrollment:

  1. Follow each step – Edit, Store and OK – through each of your plans until you have reviewed and made all selections for your benefits enrollment 
  2. After you have made your enrollment selections for you and your dependents, return to the Enrollment Summary. Review the summary to confirm your choices.
  3. If the summary is correct, click the Submit button, then follow the prompts for your Additional Benefits selection. 
    Note: If a portion of the summary is incorrect, click the Back button and make corrections.
  4. To finalize your benefits enrollment, click the final Submit button. 

Important: You will receive a message that your elections have been submitted. Be sure to print your Benefits Enrollment Summary for your records.

Proceed to enroll in Additional Benefits offered.

Additional Benefits

You can access the  Additional Benefits enrollment site throughout the enrollment period. Use your Atrium Health User ID and Password to log in.

View Your Benefit Elections

The day after you complete the Enrollment Process, you may view your Benefit elections within   YourHRLink.

  1. Go to the Employee tab > My Benefits (or My Executive/Physician Info) > My Benefits Summary and view your benefit elections for Medical, HSA, Dental, Vision, FSA and Short-Term Disability Buy-Up
  2. Change the Date field to the effective date of your benefits (the first day of the month following 30 days of employment)

Once the enrollment period closes, your benefit choices are final and you will not be able to make changes unless you experience a qualifying life event.
