Welcome to Atrium Health! As a newly hired teammate, you must enroll in your benefits within the first 31 days.  Use the information on this page to assist you in the benefits enrollment process.

How to Enroll

Step 1: Start in CORE Connect to begin your enrollment activities.  

If you are benefits-eligible, access CORE Connect to enroll in Benefits.   Use the CORE Connect Benefits Enrollment Navigation Guide.

Step 2: Add Dependents  

In CORE Connect, start on the Me screen then click the Benefits tile. Once in the Benefits section, click People to Cover tile to add, edit or remove your dependents. 

Step 3: Enroll in Benefits 

In CORE Connect, use the instructions below to enroll in your benefits. If you need assistance, please contact Atrium Health Benefits at 704-631-1500, choose Option 1. 

  1. Click Me 
  2. Click on the Benefits tile 
  3. Click Make Changes located directly underneath your profile picture 
    Note: This step also applies to new hires. 
  4. Add or update any beneficiary/dependent information on the People to Cover screen if applicable 
  5. Click Continue at the top of the page 
  6. Click on Atrium Health Benefits Program 
  7. Click on the Edit button for each plan you would like to make changes to 
  8. When in each “plan” check and uncheck options applicable to your enrollment, be sure to designate any dependents to be covered 
  9. Click Continue 
  10. Repeat Steps 7-9 until finished make changes 
  11. Scroll to the top and click Submit 
  12. The Atrium Health Benefits Program Confirmation page should display. You will see a confirmation message that your benefits elections were submitted.  

To review your elected Benefits, use the following steps after logging onto CORE Connect: 

  1. Click Me 
  2. Click on the Benefits tile 
  3. Click on Your Benefits 
  4. Select the drop down at See Benefits as of Date or Event” 
  5. Choose the Specific Date option 
  6. Enter the date your Benefits began.  
    Note: Core Benefits begin 30 days + the 1st of the month, Additional Benefits begin 90 days + the 1st of the month)  
  7. Click on Atrium Health Benefits Program

NOTE: Teammates with at least 30 standard hours per week are automatically enrolled in the Basic Life Insurance (at 1.5 times teammate salary), Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Insurances. Plans vary for monthly-paid teammates.

Teammates who are at least 18 years of age and work in positions classified with at least 16 hours per week are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Retirement Plan after three months of service. Teammates will be automatically enrolled with a pretax contribution of 3% of salary each pay period. (Atrium Health will match 75% of the first 4% teammates save and 50% of the next 2% of pay, making the total maximum match 4% of pay. To receive the full 4% match, teammates must save 6% of pay through the Plan.)
